“The League is a solutions-based organization, focused on advocating for sensible environmental regulations backed by science and monitoring, devoted community engagement, grassroots involvement, and a collective ideology of working together to Keep Tahoe Blue. The League is Tahoe’s oldest and largest environmental organization.”
“Unravel is a nonprofit organization working to spread knowledge about the grim realities of pediatric cancer and the devastating impact from the lack of funding. We supply the information, tools and support to individuals and communities that want to help create change– because good people want to do good things but sometimes they need help getting started. All monies raised by and for Unravel will go directly to the fight against pediatric cancer.”
“We know that lasting personal and social change comes about when we all work together. That’s why, at the Y, strengthening the community is our cause. Every day, we work side-by-side with our neighbors to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive.”
“Habitat for Humanity’s vision is a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Our mission is to put God’s love into action by bringing people together to build homes, communities and hope.”
“The mission of CHS is to reach out to children and families at risk with a range of services that ensure every child the opportunity to develop within a safe, healthy, and secure environment.”

“Our mission is to provide a preferential option for the poor in health care. By establishing long-term relationships with sister organizations based in settings of poverty, Partners In Health strives to achieve two overarching goals: to bring the benefits of modern medical science to those most in need of them and to serve as an antidote to despair.”
“The mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Consistent with the vision of our founder Danny Thomas, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family’s ability to pay.”
“PHS/SPCA is a private, independent, non-profit, and our scope of services goes beyond that of a so-called no-kill, or limited admission, facility. As an open-door shelter, PHS/SPCA accepts all animals brought to us, regardless of age, breed or size, and we’ve rehomed 100% of the healthy dogs and cats in our care since 2003 and promise to do this going forward.”
“The mission of La Cocina is to cultivate low-income food entrepreneurs as they formalize and grow their businesses by providing affordable commercial kitchen space, industry-specific technical assistance and access to market opportunities.”
“The San Francisco Zoo is designed with the underlying belief that nature-focused interaction leads to conservation action. Learning about animals here inspires visitors to care for all wildlife.”

“Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of San Mateo County partners caring adults with children who have come under the Court’s protection because their parents can’t or won’t take care of them.”
“We raise money for teachers and programs to ensure an exceptional education for the children of the Belmont-Redwood Shores School District. In addition, we are dedicated to raising community awareness of key issues faced by our district, and what we can do as a community to ensure that all of our children receive a quality public education.”
“The San Carlos Education Foundation raises money through its Annual Giving Campaign and through special events such as Spring Fling to fund key programs for all schools in the San Carlos School District. SCEF funded programs support every San Carlos child, every week, at every school.”
