There is no doubt in my mind that San Francisco is one of the most beautiful places on earth. The rugged terrain, beautiful architecture, and gorgeous views are hard to beat. When driving to San Francisco from the Mid Peninsula, I love cresting the hill to see the beauty of the San Francisco skyline. Yesterday, our team had the opportunity to see the most fantastic views of San Francisco from Yerba Buena Island - Treasure Island's neighbor and the first stop on the Bay Bridge. After exiting, and continuing along the main road, we experienced views of the City we have ever beheld. All I can say is . . . Wowza!
Yerba Buena Island is a hilly, natural land mass in the San Francisco Bay. It is within the City of San Francisco borders but is physically located approximately 2 miles from the mainland and is accessed via an exit on the Bay Bridge. Attached to Yerba Buena Island via a causeway is Treasure Island, a flat, man-made land mass. Together, the two islands make up less than a square mile and have a very small population. All of this is about to change with the creation of The Residences at Yerba Buena Island, a stunning collection of homes still under construction yet taking deposits. For those who travel the Bay Bridge regularly, you most likely have seen the development taking form.
I have been quite curious about the development and jumped at the chance to tour the Bristol Condominiums yesterday with our team. Of course they took us to the crown jewel of the building, boasting a wrap around patio that provided views from the Golden Gate Bridge to Oakland. It was a 3-bedroom unit, built around a large open kitchen/living area. With floor-to-ceiling windows, high ceilings, and fresh modern finishes, the unit was a delight to experience and is priced over $4,000,000.
We also toured several other more affordable units with an assortment of floor plans and price tags. Although none if them matched the top floor, corner unit, they were all equipped with the same chic finishes and quality construction. The least expensive unit, priced in the high $900,000's, did not have views of the Bay but looked out into a nicely landscaped courtyard. These courtyard units have outdoor patios, which is a nice benefit. Clearly a lot of work went into soundproofing, because even the unit overlooking the Bay Bridge was serene. All Bristol Condominium owners have access to beautiful common rooms, a rooftop terrace, a children's playroom, and a state-of-the-art fitness center.
The developer has plans to build an assortment of other housing on the Island, including Flats and even some single family homes. As should be obvious, the better the view and the larger the square footage, the higher the price. Individuals interested in some of these marquis homes are able to put down deposits now to claim the one they want. Our team at Veritas Homes would love to take you for a tour at The Residences at Yerba Buena Island. It is a unique place to live that provides a quality of life yet unavailable to Bay Area homeowners. Call Val at 650-740-6025 to plan an outing.
